You can tether your Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 to your computer with a USB cable to share your Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220’s internet connection with your computer.

Tethering works with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Linux.

To add widgets to your home screen:

Touch Apps > WIDGETS tab, and there are your choices
Scroll through your list of widgets by flicking left/right
Touch and hold a widget and drag it to the desired location to add it
To install a fully functioning widget, be sure to use items from the WIDGETS tab (not the ALL APPS tab)
Move and resize widgets

To move a widget; touch and hold it until you feel a vibration, then drag it to another spot on the same screen or to another panel.

To resize a widget, touch and hold it, then release. If the widget is resizeable (some are not), it’s perimeter becomes highlighted – drag a corner to resize.

To remove a widget from the home screen:

Touch and hold the widget until it vibrates.
Drag it to X Remove at the top of the screen.

In the unlikely event that your Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 becomes unresponsive, try a force reboot.

Warning: Don’t attempt to remove or replace the battery yourself doing so may damage the battery and could cause burning and injury.

To reboot the device, press and hold the power key + volume down key for 10 seconds.

Notes:
Data on your Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 will not be deleted.
Ensure that your Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 is charged to a minimum of 5%. If your battery is below 5% then the device will not power on. A device that is completely drained should be charged, for a minimum of 15-20 minutes, using the provided wall charger.

If you forgot the pattern or your PIN is not working, the Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 will allow you to log-in with the Gmail information you programmed into the Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 during setup.

You will need to try entering a pattern or PIN at least five times. If you fail to draw the correct unlock pattern or pin on the screen after five attempts, the Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 will prompt you to wait for 30 seconds before you can try again.

Press OK or wait for 30 seconds before attempting again.

After you press OK, the lock will come back again with a button on bottom right that states Forgot pattern.

Touch Forgot Pattern.

You will be prompted to sign in using your Google/Gmail account and then to create a new screen unlock. You can skip entering a new security lock.

If you forgot or are unsure about your Google password, but you know your Gmail login or Google account name, you can have Gmail send you a password change request link to your other email address through your computer, by following the steps below:

Please use a computer to visit http://www.gmail.com.
From the Gmail login page click on the “Can’t access your account?”
Follow the steps in that guide to recover your Gmail login information.
Once your login information is recovered, please use that information to unlock the Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 using initial steps above. If you recently created your Gmail account or changed its password, allow up to an hour to try the new password.

Note: You must have had a Gmail account setup on the Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 before you locked the handset to reset your PIN through Gmail.

Factory Data Reset is a tool used to remove everything that was imported, added or installed on the device. Keep in mind, when using this feature everything is deleted.

To reset your Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220:

1. Touch App

2. Touch Settings

3. Touch Backup & reset

4. Touch Factory Data Reset

5. Touch Reset Phone

External Reset

If you are unable to access the Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220’s menu to perform the standard reset you can attempt an external factory reset.

WARNING: When using this feature; everything is deleted from the Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220.

NOTE: Reset will require a minimum battery level of 25%. If you are unable to perform a reset, please charge for 20-30 minutes and try reset again.

1. With the phone powered off, press the VOL DOWN KEY for 2-3 seconds then POWER key then release.

2. The device will display different BOOT OPTIONS

3. Use the VOL DOWN Key to SCROLL to Recovery and VOL UP Key to select

Tip: If the device reboots, you may have waited to long to make a selection, you will need to begin the process again.

4. The device will display the Motorola logo and then the Android in distress ( logo with Exclamation mark)

5. Press and hold the VOL UP key for 10-15 seconds. While still holding the VOL UP key tap and release the POWER key

Tip: You can try this step, holding the phone in landscape. If you are stuck on step 6, try a force reboot by pressing the Power key and Vol Down key, and start the process again.

6. The Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 will display additional menu options (Text will appear in BLUE)

7. Use the VOL DOWN Key to scroll to Wipe data / factory reset and the POWER Key to select this option

8. Use the VOL DOWN key again to select YES – delete all user data and press the POWER key to CONFIRM

9. Once the Formatting is complete, press the POWER key to confirm a REBOOT

10. The Motorola CLIQ DEXT MB220 will reboot and start the normal power up sequence
